Is there a threat to the WORD in our time?
Since the advent of the use of radar in military activity, the world has at first gradually and now escalatingly become permeated with human-generated radio-frequency radiation. Over magnificent eons and ages of time, the Word has brought forth myriad life forms, each according to its created archetype of being (see the opening verses of The Book of John at the Home page of this website). The present condition of life on Earth as we know it involves the interaction between the solar forces of the sun and the magnetic forces of the earth – and so much more than this: one can learn about the tremendous scope of it from Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual scientific research, as found in his book, Occult Science: an Outline, Chapter IV (see GA 13, 1909).
Outside of our normal ability to see, hear, smell, taste, feel, the radiations that human beings themselves generate in service of wireless devices are active. These radiations are not part of the created world to this time. They are super-imposed upon it. Are there signs that these radiations are doing harm, and in essence smothering the work of the Word? The long brochure, Bees, Birds and Mankind: Destroying Nature by Electrosmog, by Ulrich Warnke, describes how the natural electromagnetic fields of the earth come about, and he shows with graphic images how all living creatures make use of these fields. Each life form has sense organs or sensory mechanisms that enable them to perceive or detect them, to respond to them, constantly interacting with them. Their navigation, reproduction, sleep-wake cycles, and so on – how birds fly in formation, etc. – all rely on their use of these natural fields. We rely on them. too!
Rudolf Steiner spoke to the issue of human-generated ‘radiant electricity.’ In a discussion period during the Agriculture Course of lectures he gave (June 1924, Koberwitz, at that time in Germany), the question of the use of electricity in agriculture, in relation to animal fodder came up. In his answer he said this:
“[T]he human being’s inner life will become different if these things are carried as far as is now intended. It makes a difference whether you simply supply a certain district with steam-engines or electrify the railway lines. Steam works more consciously, whereas electricity has an appallingly unconscious influence; people simply do not know where certain things are coming from. Without a doubt, there is a trend of evolution in the following direction. Consider how electricity is now being used about the earth as radiant and as conducted electricity, to carry the news as quickly as possible from one place to another. This life of human beings in the midst of electricity, notably radiant electricity [wireless telegraphy, now cell phones and towers, routers, wireless devices] will presently affect them in such a way that they will no longer be able to understand the news which they receive so rapidly. The effect is to damp down their intelligence.”
He also said, “You must know that electricity is at a lower level than that of living things. Whatever is alive – the higher it is, the more it will tend to ward off electricity. It is a definitely repulsion. If now you train a living thing to use its means of defense where there is nothing for it to ward off, the living creature will thereby become nervous or fidgety, and eventually sclerotic.”
When we read “nervous or fidgety,” isn’t this what we see in the ever-rising prevalence of ADD, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders nowadays?

Animals and plants have always

A beautiful example of this is the miners’ relationship with canaries. “Canaries are very sensitive to carbon monoxide. The canaries would chirp and sing and make noise all day long. But, if the carbon monoxide levels [or other toxic gases such as methane] got too high, the canaries would have trouble breathing, and maybe even die. I became a ‘canary in the mine’
A first wake-up call
I myself became a ‘canary’ when I discovered that the cause of my heartbeat arrhythmia was the cordless DECT phone that I had been using for over three years. DECT means ‘digitally-enhanced cordless telecommunications’ – cordless means wireless, WiFi. My heart was telling me that these radiations are present!
Here below is a sheet that shows a study done on exactly this type of biological disruption, of the heartbeat being interfered with by human-generated radio-frequency radiation from the cordless phone. “Sham” in the chart means that although the phone was plugged in and appeared to be functioning, the power to the phone was actually OFF. But neither the person being tested nor the researcher conducting the test knew when the power was on or off. That makes the study double-blind. The results demonstrate that in some people, the frequencies that the frequencies that the cordless phone puts out interfere with the frequencies that the natural pacemaker cells use in the regulation of the heart’s response to our activity – an otherwise harmonious life process.
Bees are adversely affected by these radiations, too. In Bees, Birds and Mankind: Destroying Nature by Electrosmog, Ulrich Warnke reported that if a DECT phone is put at a bee hive, few if any members of the colony will return. No wonder they abandon the hive!
When I unplugged the phone from the electric socket as well as the phone jack and reinstalled an $11. phone that only plugs into the phone jack, that ended my heartbeat problem. It was night and day. When I purchased a microwave radio-frequency detector, I found out that this cordless phone was blasting wireless radiation 24/7. And these huge amounts of radiation were constant, whether I was on a call or not. And the detector shows that these wireless impulses are not only extreme in amount: they are an extreme chaos of erratic spiking.
A second wake up call
Soon after recovering my heartbeat, I had to travel by plane. The trip involved four take-offs and landings. I went through the microwave body scanner the first time, but immediately questioned the wisdom of this and chose the pat-down after that. Coming back, there was a delay of several hours in the airport – a place that is full of microwave RF radiation, with all of the electronic screens, computers and cell phones. Within a few months my return I was suffering from terrible insomnia.
This time the path to recovery was more complex: I had to eliminate the wireless RF radiation that was coming from my internet router and my computer. The chaotic signals they were producing 24/7 were disrupting the hormones and other neurological and sensing functions that govern the circadian rhythm. Because this was a deeper interference of my entire sleep organization, it took upwards of a couple weeks to feel fully recovered. I had to install wired connections between my devices. I installed ethernet cables not only from the modem-router/cable box to my computer (using an ethernet-to-USB adapter to connect to the computer laptop), but also to any other device that was using WiFi, such as the printer. Then I had to shut off the WiFi from the router (with no on/off switch on the router, I had to go to my account page online). And then I had to shut every single antenna off on these devices, wherever they are hidden, in ‘settings’ and so forth, and including Bluetooth and other antennas. And then I had to check with a radio-frequency detector that all of the signals were in fact OFF!

SEEDLINGS warn us that router WiFi damages life
Here are two of the studies that reveal the destructive effects of internet router WiFi. This WiFi includes radiations from wireless cable boxes and wireless cable-TV boxes. The second one is by a professional team using only the ‘beacon’ signals of the router (i.e. not carrying the data as in the classroom). Striking impacts: failure to germinate or plant death soon after, stunted roots, growth movement strongly away from the router radiation (attempting to flee from it), chlorosis – disturbance in the chlorophyll function, and fungus.
TREES are warning us of danger to life on earth:
Scientists have been photographing trees in cities and in the vicinity of cell towers (masts, base stations), documenting progressive damages
Here are some of these images. The researchers are tracking the deterioration in trees over spans of years. What is seen is that the damage begins at the crown of the tree and at the periphery of the leaves. The radiation is less where the radio-frequency cell-tower beams are blocked and absorbed by buildings, structures, other trees, vegetation or hills. Hence, the protected, healthier trees are seen to be sheltered in the radio shadow of these other elements in the landscape.

It has been noted that when plant life is under stress, terpenes are produced. If we think of serpentine, we are on the right track. Terpenes are flammable! While terpenes have a normal role as a beneficial pest-repellant for some plants, when stressed plants are part of a fire incident, the fire will ignite and spread all the quicker.

The impact of ‘smart’ meters
on the red blood cells
Volunteers in this study of ‘smart’ meter radiation effect stood one foot away from the meter. We might think that it would be unusual for us to be as close as one foot away from a radiating ‘smart’ meter. We would be wrong. These meters are installed at adult head-height along sidewalks. Gardeners and work people come near them. While we are in bed or reclining in the living room, our head or body could be right on the other side of the wall from where the ‘smart’ meter is outside. And there is no assurance that these damages to the red blood cells don’t also occur at distances from the meter that are larger than in this study. In fact, there is every likelihood that they do also occur at greater distances. The impact of ‘smart’ phones
on the red blood cells
In this study, the blood was examined after no exposure for a duration of time, then after 45 minutes of carrying the cell phone ON in a back pack, then after 45 minutes of actively using it. The degradation, deformation, spiking (echinocyte formation) and rouleaux clumping is obvious. The changes to the RBCs are the same kind as seen upon exposure to the ‘smart’ meter radiation, in the other study here.

Red blood cells (RBCs) have electrical properties: they possess a negative charge. This gives them an affinity for water molecules and it keeps them apart, flow separately and not sticking to the walls of the blood vessels. In these two studies using dark-filed microscopy, the RBCs are seen to clump together like rolls of coins, called ‘rouleaux,’ when exposed to wireless radiation. The charge does not keep them apart. Research has recently been done using ultrasound technology; and this is revealing these same findings.

As the above research images show, whether the wireless radiation is from cordless DECT phones, internet routers, cell towers, ‘smart’ utility meters or ‘smart’ phones, the radiation is having invisible, inaudible, odorless impacts on living beings, on the lawful organizing life forces that sustain the creations of the WORD.
In this study, reported by Dr. Karl Maret at a forum in 2010, after only two hours of cell phone exposure – exposure that is well below ‘safety’ limits – the brain tissue has changed. Lesions in the surface develop over the ensuing weeks. It is found that the structure of the blood brain barrier, BBB, has been damaged. This will allow toxins into the brain which should be kept out. The BBB is one of many tissue barriers, whose wonderful structure of ‘tight junctions’ protects our important organs. This structure regulates what gets through the barrier into the organ and what does not. Hence, one would anticipate that all such barriers are being damaged by these wireless radiations.
In light of this, the role of the amyloid plaque that has been discussed in its accumulation in the brains of those who suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease perhaps takes on a new significance. Here is an article about the positive function that amyloid-beta protein plays. If the BBB is damaged and therefore allowing toxins and pathogens through, perhaps this could explain the increase in amyloid-beta. During sleep, when the brain is less active, the glymph moves to clear metabolic waste. So if sleep is compromised, this waste-clearing will be compromised, too. This amyloid-beta also appears to play a role in diabetes, particularly in type 2 diabetes. Of course, the pancreas also has a tissue barrier that protects it … unless that barrier is being damaged.
At the EMF Medical Conference 2021, Dr. Magda Havas showed research into the involvement of electromagnetic radiation in the diabetes response in some people – their blood sugar goes up. She did not suggest how the radiation might be bringing this about, only that it is evident that it does do this in these case studies. There is no longer Midnight Quiet
In 1987, the phenomenon of Midnight Quiet was documented (probably observed and known long before then). When the sun has journeyed to the other side of the earth from where we are, the action of its solar radiation ceases and “the activity of the electromagnetic impulses … abruptly ends at midnight.” And in 1987, parallel with this electromagnetic quiet, the the bees fell quiet, too.

The lack of electromagnetic quiet in our time (now 2025), could mean that the signals which sent bees into quiet are no longer present. I have heard it said, that for us, too, our body senses the human-generated wireless, microwave, radio-frequencies as forms of light – and rightly so! Hence in the evening and night our body is asking, “when is it going to be night?” But it isn’t ever night, even if the lights are out, because the ongoing, churning and pulsing radiations mean that it never gets ‘dark’ anymore: there is no Midnight Quiet.

Here are two charts showing the results of two epidemiological surveys of health effects in the aftermath of ‘smart’ meter rollouts in Australia and in the U.S. One can see the pattern of insomnia, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), headaches, stress/anxiety, heart problems and more. This pattern of biological responses to exposures to radio-frequencies has been documented for decades (see the references in the Wireless Radiation Timeline document below). One of the most concerning aspects in the reports is not only the clear onset of health impacts upon installation and activation of ‘smart’ meters, but the sudden triggering of difficulty in the presence of wireless radiations in every part and location of daily activity. These mounting radiations now cause serious symptoms and suffering. Richard Conrad’s study and testimony (in Maine) included numerous first-hand accounts of these life-destroying impacts. A disturbing and unhealthy societal misconception
In recent years the idea has been promulgated that first-hand experiences count for little or nothing, and that only ‘randomized studies’ can be valid and actionable. Hence, anything short of that kind of study gets waved away as mere ‘anecdote’ now. The miners certainly knew better: they did not need to wait for a ‘scientific’ study: through personal experience and accounts of others’ first-hand experiences, and through their common sense, it was transparent to them that when the canaries ceased their joyful singing and chirping, it was a danger to stay below ground. Likewise, to those who suffer from exposure to wireless radiation no study is needed, to corroborate their findings. Their heart, their ears, their head-pains, their brain fog, their rashes, nosebleeds, etc., inform them of the dangers. They act in whatever way they can to terminate the exposure or to remove themselves to a safe place even if it means forfeiting home, livelihood and relationships. People themselves have been conducting the science on the health effects of wireless radiation and acting upon their findings. And they urge adopting the Precautionary Principle and aiming for emissions that are As Low As Reasonably Achievable, ALARA (or not at all when possible).
What if we don’t experience any particular symptoms when using our devices? This is no assurance of no harm. The impacts continue and accumulate silently, nevertheless. A respondent in Richard Conrad’s survey wrote: “I used to laugh [at] people who told me that had electrical sensitivity and could sometimes hear electricity, and now I have become one of them.” This happens again and again, as in the YouTube, “I was fine,” cited above. In the case of ‘smart’ meters, the meter and its radiation cannot be shut off. It is a constant, 24/7, near-range involuntary exposure. As one respondent asked, “What has happened to right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?” And another wrote, “This is no longer America.”
Dirty Electricity from ‘smart’ meters
‘Smart’ electricity meters generate Dirty Electricity frequencies. All sorts of electronic devices do the same. These frequencies are created when the electric power supply has to switch between AC alternating current and DC direct current. When the power supply does this, it is called “Switching Mode Power Supply” – SMPS. The continual switching generates these additional electrical frequencies, and these are then carried along on the normal 60 Hertz current (or 50 Hz depending on the country). The display image depicts how these abnormal frequencies contaminate the current throughout entire buildings. They are also carried downstream through neighborhoods.
It is known in the field of electronic devices that the ‘dirty electricity,’ DE, or ‘electromagnetic interference,’ EMI, or ‘transient’ frequencies, are a hazard to the longevity of the devices themselves and components within the devices can be designed with the aim to filter them out. However, the filtering is often not adequate; and in the case of ‘smart’ meters, it is not at all adequate.

In Lecture 4: Dirty Electricity, of the EMF Medical Conference, studies of three schools were presented. The staff, teachers and students in them were suffering symptoms suspected as being from ‘sick building syndrome.’ The symptoms of the school populations were only relieved after a Building Biologist was brought in to measure and then remedy the significantly elevated dirty electricity frequencies. Notably, migraine headaches vanished, mood and energy was better, and children no longer came to the nurse for their asthmas inhalers, though they still needed them at home! When a variable-speed space heater was subsequently brought in by a teacher, complaints of symptoms arose. The heater was exchanged for one that did not produce the load hazardous frequencies that the variable-speed model was producing and symptoms were relieved.

FIRES from ‘smart’ utility meters
The fire hazard posed by ‘smart’ electricity meters is not widely known. And yet there are a slew of deficiencies design and functioning of these meters. They do not handle over-voltage events from the power grid in the extremely safe and effective manner that the mechanical-analog electricity meters do, which are designed to send over-0voltages directly to ground via an incredible technology called ‘spark-gap.’ The spark-gap can function over and over again without impairment. There is no analogous safety feature in the ‘smart’ meter.

WHY are these radiating devices allowed?
Wireless, MW microwave, RF radio-frequency, WiFi radiation has been observed and studied for many decades. The timeline here shows some of the key steps and missteps that have been taken since 1940. That time, over eight decades ago was not the beginning of our use of electricity with its accompanying electromagnetic fields and the effects of that energy and those fields. In 1924, Rudolf Steiner indicated some of the effects of ‘radiant electricity. Connecting the dots, researchers have noted the correlation between the rollout of wireless technologies with instances of illness sweeping the region or the world (e.g., Arthur Firstenberg described this phenomenon of illness in tandem with rollouts in his book, The Invisible Rainbow).
However, it is complicated to study the biological effects and damages that do not arise through overt thermal, i.e., heating, of the tissues. These other effects arise non-thermally. A program of concerted early research that was begun in 1957, called the Tri-Service program (in the U.S. military), was abruptly ended in 1960 despite the fact that it was sensed that the exposure standards were (and they still are) arbitrary and that not enough was known about the complex non-thermal effects that were emerging. Cumulative effects had not been examined, either.
As is described in the document by Cook et al, “Early Research on the biological effects of microwave radiation”(Section 9, p. 341ff), the intent was near-term study of the effects, even though evidence was mounting that the radiations caused effects (such as cataracts, temporary infertility) far below their assumed exposure standard relative to overt hazard. “As long as controls could be established to keep personnel from being exposed to dangerous (100 mw/cm2 and above) levels of microwave radiation, it mattered little to the military sponsors of the scientific research what effects might ensue at these levels or the mechanisms of such effects” (p. 346 – please download the Timeline to click the links in it).
About this 1950s standard of 100mW/cm2 – 100 milliWatts per centimeter squared: In microWatts per meter squared, as on the Safe & Sound Pro II RF meter, this is 1,000,000,000 μW/m2- 1 billion microWatts per meter squared. At present, because of the known biological effects, building biologists recommend levels of less than 10 μW/m2 for sleeping areas and advise limiting the time we spend in any areas that are above 100 μW/m2.
The termination of this Tri-Service program of research was one of our missteps; but the issue remained. And in 1971, the U.S. government gave warning in its report, “Program for Control of Electromagnetic Pollution of the Environment” (see the Timeline). In it, experts that were appointed by the Office of Telecommunications Policy stated that we must get ahead of the danger posed by the continued rollout of wireless RF technology if we are to avoid serious health effects in the years ahead, especially if these effects involve genetic effects – and they do involve genetic effects. To our ongoing peril, the control of electromagnetic pollution never gained traction.
Skipping ahead, another major misstep occurred when the Food and Drug Administration,FDA, gave these technologies a waiver rather than fulfilling its mandate to study them and set appropriate standards – and nothing was done to correct the FDA’s neglect of responsibility. The Citizens’ Petition of 2023 seeks to set this straight and force the FDA to act.
In like fashion, when the Wireless Technology Research project on cell-phone safety reported “functional genetic damage” and a doubled risk of brain tumors, the maneuvers of the wireless industry to reject these results and continue its course were never solidly countered. And here we are, suffering in addition to this from the ill-crafted Section 704 of the 1996 Telecom Act of 1996, which prohibits municipalities from considering the environment when reviewing applications for wireless infrastructures.
It is not widely known that this Act only applies to “personal wireless service facilities,” i.e., personal cell service, not wireless streaming of information, broadband, utility metering and so on; but it is (illegally) used as applying to the rollout these other technologies out. And the exclusion of ‘environmental’ impacts from consideration is (wrongly) interpreted to include health! Impacts to life therefore do not matter, so long as the radiation is below the arbitrary exposure limits.

WHAT to do to protect the pulse of life
from these chaotic radiations,
in service to the creative work of the Word?
The State of New Hampshire called up a Commission to Study the Environmental and Health Effects of Evolving 5G Technology. Although it focussed on the threat of 5G radiation, the report that the Commission issued in 2019 applies to all wireless, microwave, radio-frequency radiation. It presented fifteen recommendations and two examples of signage for the purpose of alerting the public to concerning levels of exposures in the public right-of-way and in places that people frequent. Here below is a summary of the fifteen recommendations.
Of note is the Commission’s statement that public rights-of-way are under municipal jurisdiction, not federal. Therefore the municipality (and state) has the right to warn its citizens.
Among the recommendations are:
– On-going public service announcements, especially to advise those who are pregnant and to protect the young;
– The creation of RF-radiation-free zones, especially in healthcare facilities, with signage at entrances stating the radiation levels and availability of RF-free zones;
– The installation of wired infrastructures within buildings and homes. The Commission offered two examples of exposure warning signs for use in commercial and public buildings and in the vicinity of 5G antennas. Since ‘smart’ meters also appear on poles in the vicinity of public rights-of-way, they should therefore be subject to signage such as this also.
The numbers of people who suffer from these radiations are growing! It is estimated that up to thirty percent of the world population already experience symptoms to some extent (see the 2019 paper, “The Prevalence of People with Restricted Access to Work in Manmade Electromagnetic Environments,” https://mdsafetech.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/2018-prevalence-of-electromagnetic-sensitivity.pdf). At the EMF Medical Conference 2021 (and many websites), one can learn how to eliminate needless exposures by installing wired connections to replace WiFi, and using shielding materials in some cases. For those who are already suffering, avoidance really appears to form the major part of the ‘cure’ until we can as a society (around the world, too) reign in our reckless use of these life-impairing radiations.

CeCe offers interviews, updates and a wealth of information and shows how to wire our equipment for safer use and learn new habits with our devices.
◆ Keeping abreast of the state and federal legislation that needs to be supported or opposed. (We must have freedom of choice regarding the utility meters.) The monthly update meetings with CeCe Doucette are very helpful. See details at https://www.ma4safetech.org. Although she is based in Massachusetts, many of the resources she brings – and her radio programs – apply to all of us.
◆ Enlarging images (such as all of the above on this page) from scientific studies to make poster board sized displays to present to my village Board, to educate them month by month.
◆ Using the Safe & Sound Pro II Meter to take readings throughout my village and map our wireless RF footprint as a display, also noting where the safe analog meters are (there are many, including on apartment buildings). The villagers and Board can then SEE what our condition is now before the imminent ‘smart’ meter rollout, to raise awareness. There are already hazardous areas, and some ‘smart’ meters have been installed on telephone poles in the right-of-way to serve equipment above them. The map is to be updated with the new readings after.
◆ Collecting funds to help local libraries purchase the Safe & Sound Pro II through the Environmental Health Trust’s Meter Grant Program for U.S. Libraries, https://ehtrust.org/emf-meters-at-u-s-libraries, and then posting announcements that the Pro II meter is on loan at the library. The meter cannot be put in the book drop, so each library must have its own for circulation at the counter. (See image further below.)
◆ Presenting to groups when I can.
◆ Using EDDM, the U.S. Postal Service’s Every Door Direct Mail program, to send out a whole-community announcement/alert. No addresses are needed. For much-reduced postage, a 6.25 x 9 inch postcard can be delivered to every box holder or postal route recipient as bulk mail. Many online businesses facilitate the design, printing and USPS arrangements, to get the word out. Hospitals in particular need to establish safe zones for sufferers and need to have RF shielding canopies for beds ready for use.
